Pacifica beach poles are a collaborative project connected by Artist/Teacher Sheila Gamble Dorn and designed by Artist/Teacher Julie Stock. Artist/Teacher Aprile Uhland made the mosaics. Local K-8 students made the informational signs and pictures. The purpose is to draw attention to the beauty and protection of the natural flora and fauna in this local habitat.

A walk along the Pacifica State Beach will lead you to viewing these informative installations. The Heron is where the San Pedro Creek meets the beach in Lindamar, The Pelican is near the rest station at Pacifica State Beach and the Snowy Plover is at the “Wander In” across from Crespi Dr. (note: as of December 2022, the Snowy Plover pole was vandalized and new signs are in process of being installed again.)
